The award-winning day nursery Big Bird Nursery Whitburn offers inspiring environments and amazing childhood experiences, to West Lothian families and those who commute to and from the area of Bathgate and Whitburn.
We’re also pleased to share that we have achieved VERY GOOD ratings by the Care Inspectorate across the board, following an unannounced inspection in October 2022.
Our West Lothian Day Nursery is located in the heart of Whitburn and we’re a family friendly nursery with a highly experienced, caring team who provide expert childcare for children aged 12 weeks to 5 years.
We believe our children learn best through real life, hands on experiences, so we provide the ideal setting for learning through play with inspiring indoor and outdoor environments to spark your child’s curiosity. Our dedicated construction zone, messy play area, arts and crafts table and reading corner allow little ones to grow and develop at their own pace, while our large, secure outdoor play area provides plenty of space for children to explore and embark on their own adventures. We also have access to a local forest site nearby where we have regular outings with the children to help them discover more of the natural world.
Nutrition is also an important part of our nursery experience, which is why all of our meals are cooked fresh on site, giving children the fuel they need to get the most out of their day.
We’re delighted to share that we’ve been recognised as one of the top 20 recommended day nurseries in Scotland for 2021 AND 2022, based on parent reviews, via the UK’s leading nursery review site, daynurseries.co.uk

Established in 2016, CC Nurseries Group recently opened its 9th setting, and currently provides quality childcare and inspiring environments to over 800 families across southern England and Scotland.
